Four Seasons Hangzhou

Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre opened in September 2024 and blends modern luxury with poetic Chinese aesthetics, inspired by Hangzhou’s waterways, heritage, and artistic traditions.

Located near Wulin Square in the heart of Hangzhou, the hotel was designed by Goettsch Partners and Avalon Collective, with public spaces and dining venues crafted by AB Concept. The architecture and interiors reflect a contemporary interpretation of classical Chinese design, emphasizing high ceilings, natural light, and panoramic views that evoke the city’s historic connection to water.

Design highlights include:
• A thematic concept called “The Theoretics of Water”, which guides spatial flow and ambiance throughout the hotel.
• Song Chinese Restaurant, lobby lounge, and all-day dining venues featuring refined materials and layered textures that mirror Hangzhou’s cultural depth.
• A serene urban escape that balances landscape integration with modern hospitality, offering guests a tranquil retreat in the city’s vibrant core.

The hotel’s aesthetic draws from Hangzhou’s literary and artistic legacy, including references to West Lake, Grand Canal, and traditional crafts, reimagined through a minimalist, luxurious lens. It’s positioned as a flagship property that redefines urban resort living in one of China’s most culturally rich cities.
